If you could have worked on any structure/building in the world in any capacity which one would it be?
I’ve always loved bridges; it’s part of the reason I went to Architecture school. There’s just something majestic in the way a bridge connects two places together (especially over water). I would love to work on an iconic bridge project someday.
Tell us about projects you are currently working on.
I’m currently building a high-end restaurant in the Meatpacking District of NYC for a celebrity chef – L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon. He’s the world’s most decorated chef with 31 Michelin stars. This restaurant will be their second location in the United States. (Photos by Eater New York)
What would you tell anyone who is thinking about joining NAWIC?
Do it! It’s full of amazing women working in the construction industry. These women have been a great resource on projects, networking, and they’re a fun group! My only regret is not joining sooner!
What has been your favorite NAWIC Event so far?
My favorite NAWIC event to date would be Styled by Gilda! This wasn’t a construction event, but it was a great way to learn how to dress for your success. It was a reminder to always dress for the position you want, not the position you have. We do a lot of construction related, social, and female focused events that are all wonderful!
What is your favorite place on Earth?
My favorite place would have to be my new house because it’s a place I get to call my own! I am having a lot of fun decorating and no fun budgeting, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
What is your favorite food?
Honestly, all the carbs, but pasta is by far my favorite. My all-time favorite meal would be penne with goat cheese and fresh spinach in a butternut squash sauce. Yum!
How do you unwind after a long day of work?
I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my rescue pup. She’s a 3 year old Weimaraner named Maddie Mae aka Mayhem and she just makes everything better. I can’t imagine my life without her!
