Are there any other people in your family in construction?

My mom, and greatest mentor, was an executive for an international construction company. She was a natural leader, centered in who she was, and had a unique ability to inspire others around her.

What would you tell anyone who is thinking about joining NAWIC?

You get out of organization, what you put into it. Immerse yourself in the Board, attend all the events, and help others achieve their goals. NAWIC provides an incredible platform for women to network with each other, become better leaders, and contribute to the future success of women in construction.

What has been your favorite NAWIC Event so far?

I always loved the Fall Regional Forums in Vermont- the drive there was beautiful in the fall, the sessions were chock full of educational events, and we always had such a good time!

What are your hobbies/interests?

I am obsessed with the game of golf. I see so similarities between golf and life. For example- have a strategy, stay centered, don’t worry about every single shot, don’t over-think it, just show up. It’s a great game!

What is your favorite place on Earth? Why?

Greece. The history is so rich and the Greeks are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met.

If you didn’t have to sleep what would you do with the extra time?

I would spend more time with my Little Sister, through the Big Sister Association of MA. She’s a lovely person and has taught me so much. I also enjoy having the opportunity to influence her in a positive way.
