Where do you live? Framingham, MA
Tell us a little bit about your family? I have a 14-year-old son, and a 2-year-old nephew, dad and brother.
Where did you go to school? I got my BS degree from Worcester State College and my law degree from Massachusetts School of Law.
What was your first job not related to construction? My very first job was a wa
itress at Howard Johnsons on the MA Pike. I was given 1 table on my first day of training. That was the first and only table I waited on.
What was your first job related to construction? Business Development for a Forensic Engineering Firm
What do you do now and what are you planning for the future? I am the Business Development Manager for the North-East Region, for lines of business within Haag. My clients range from general contractors and tradesman to insurance companies and attorneys. Our 3D Documentation division is often the most relevant to the construction industry and was one of the reasons for joining NAWIC. For the future, my plan is to build the North East into the most successful and productive region in the U.S.
What is your favorite part of your job? When you meet a new person, and during the conversation you realize you know people in common. I am always amazed by how small the world can be when it comes to meeting and knowing people.
What are your hobbies? Travel, yoga and scuba diving
What is your favorite book? Any crime fighting/murder mystery/psychological thrillers or destination travel book
What is your favorite movie? Any high action movie with lots of explosions, shootings, car chases and amazing CGI effects
What is your favorite place to vacation? Anywhere there are palm trees, beaches and sight-seeing activities
Who do you admire the most? Both of my Parents. They are the most family oriented, loyal, supportive, strong, successful people I know. We often say you can pick your friends, but you can’t pick your family. I would pick my parents again if I had the opportunity.
If you had to choose another vocation, what would it be? Criminal Investigation, like NCIS and Criminal Minds all rolled into one.
What brought you to NAWIC? I wanted to be more actively involved in an organization comprised of strong successful women who have chosen the construction industry for their career.
What is your favorite non-work related app? The HOUZZ app. If I have a free minute, I am on the app. When I build, or renovate my retirement home, I will be able to hand my phone to the contractor and say, “I want this” for every room in the house.
